This is kinda cool. I now have in my room a computer with only two things on the harddrive: the bare basics of an operating system and Command Keen 4 and with no means of changing that (at least not without some effort). The 3 1/2 inch drive is non-functional, the 5 1/4 inch drive is non-functional, the CDROM drive is non-function (except as a cup holder). The computer is a 386 and frankly I don't feel like spending the time or money involved in replacing one of the drives. I did however, add Keen to my autoexec.bat file, so know the computer boots up to Keen.
Dispite all this, I still consider the computer to be far more functional than my Mac (mind you, the Mac has a broken power supply and won't stay on long enough to boot to the desktop). Thought you might be interested (and wanted to keep something going on in this forum). Cya, scyth |
