I don't remember games coming with neat stuff ever since Infocom went out, and I don't even remember anyone else copying Infocom. Basically, though, I think retail games are pretty much useless. Digitally distribute it, and allow you to select an option to order an awesome DNF poster for the first 10k orders or something. "I waited 16 years for this"

At my work we now have those buttons with our company's jingle on them (Like the Staples "That was easy" button) .
They are the latest in custom imprinted products. The ones my company has can be bought by employees for about $5. Apparently sales people give them as promo items.


I'd love to have a button with a Nuke symbol that randomly says short Duke quotes like.

I still like having tangible media. I have dozens of boxed games. I have a couple of dozen digitally distributed games too, but I like having a box and a disc. I also like to browse in game shops and that's just not the same on a website.

I actually just want a fully detailed instruction manual. Sorta like with DOOM three and RTCW. I like those booklets because it really puts me in the mood to play the game. gives you a good back story and character info while it shows you some of the enemies/weapons in the games.

Nothing dissapoints me more than getting a 3 page booklet or a crappy little card (Im looking at you Valve). Remember old nintendo game booklets? Very coloful, detailed and fun to read.

Or maybe a capgun that takes standard caps, but is in the shape of one of Duke's sci-fi guns.

Or maybe a DVD with a 30minute Duke Nukem anime movie made by a well known Japanese animation studio, such as the one that made Gundam Wing, or the one that made Neon Genesis Evangelion, or the one that made Dragon Ball Z.

Or maybe an car antenna ball that is in the shape of Duke's head.

You know...in continuing the tradition of Duke ripping off hollywood, much in the same way that the box art of Duke 3D was blatantly inspired by the Army of Darkness cover, I think the cover of Duke Forever should be inspired by another famous movie cover/poster.

While I still love the original Duke Nukem Forever cover art image, your idea kicks ass! The Big Trouble In Little China poster would work perfectly for DNF. I also have another suggestion. I think it would also be cool if the cover art was inspired by the Terminator 2 poster. Duke on his motorcycle holding a big f*ckin gun with explosions in the background would be amazing! Seeing Arnold sitting on the bike sort of reminds me of Duke.

prophecy holder: I agree, there should definitely be a really nice full-size (thick) printed Duke Nukem Forever manual in the game box. With lots of Duke details and facts, cool quotes from Duke, etc. Something that's filled with Duke style and attitude, to really get you in the mood for some alien stomping.

Also, I think they should include a full soundtrack CD for the game, that would be great. If not in the regular box, then for sure in the Collector's Edition box set.

An a ammo box, with DUKE NUKEM stamped on it. Inside contains some goodies:
A golden statue of Duke Nukem
A 1/4 scale model Ripper Chaingun
A bullet USB with 2GB storage, containing some wallpapers and screensavers.
The Soundtrack to the game.
Some Posters.
And the game itself.

Now that would be one awesome Special Edition.

I seriously doubt that the old builds still exist. Im not trying to shoot down the idea and i personally would love to play nostaliga DNF but what is the use of holding on to an old unfinished build?
