GTX 680s are out!
Looks like Newegg has listings for the GTX 680s, however, as expected, they are going to be hard to come by for at least a month or two. I'd say wait until late April/early May before grabbing one, and let the hype settle down a little before jumping on one yourself, just to play it safe:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...20600%20series EDIT: Not to mention that I'm surprised that they were the same price as a GTX 580 used to sell for... According to the price list, didn't they originally say these were going to be like $650? I mean, it's great that these are $500 or so, guess with that, seems like I might go for this card after all... Heck, it's $50 cheaper than the HD 7970! Guess now it's decision time... Am I going to stay red with AMD, or am I going to switch, and go green with nVidia? Hmm... The GTX 680 vs. HD 7970 debate thickens!

Re: GTX 680s are out!
I was debating upgrading my GTX 570 to a GTX 680 for FSX. I'm currently getting around 60-80% GPU usage with my GTX 570. Have to wait for more tests to see if it's worth it or not.

Re: GTX 680s are out!
Yeah, my HD 5850 was good for a while, but right now, since I have my rig hooked up to a 32" 3D HDTV, I'm pretty sure I'll be looking into a 3D Vision 2 Kit and the GTX 680 before too long myself. Although I'm pretty sure that a 3DTV Play setup would be a little different than the 3D Vision setup...we'll see what to do about that one.

Re: GTX 680s are out!
The GTX 680 blows the AMD 7970 out of the water, but I heard AMD is coming out with their 8000 series this year to make up for it if you wanted an AMD card that is.
I'm kind of interested in the TXAA antialiasing in the GTX 680 as well as the three monitors, one card (AMD Eyefinity equivalent, GTX 400-500s required SLI for it to work). The antialiasing is better than 8x MSAA. Pretty much no jagged lines or aliasing as it's called. TXAA sample

Re: GTX 680s are out!
Ehh. All right. I'll wait until the demand of the 680 dies down a bit before making my move. I'll give it, oh, maybe a month, and see what EVGA does. Although by then, the 4GB 680 might be out, so we'll see, although that might be a bit pricier.
The good thing is, with EVGA, if I go with the GK104 within the next couple of months, chances are, when GK110's released, I can use my step-up pricing on that, if it's released in time for me to do that. I doubt the GK110's gonna be released in time for me to take advantage of that. I forget how long EVGA gives you on the step-up pricing now...

Re: GTX 680s are out!
I'm so tempted to go out and buy a couple GTX 680s, put them in SLI and turn on AFR mode (forced SLI) for a huge boost in FSX. Now that I figured out to max out the GPU and CPU (8 threads @ 100% usage).

Hell, I'm still running 2 4870's in crossfire and have no issues.

Re: GTX 680s are out!
meh.
Until I get something that causes my current card to actually start really "working"... no interest. Hell, my 460 still runs everything I throw at it with no issues.

Re: GTX 680s are out!
I also read that TXAA anti-aliasing must be supported by the game in order to work. It's not like supersampling where you can add it in with Nvidia Inspector.
