Any recommendations for a computer hardware vendor?

After many years of dealing with vendor Newegg.com and giving a lot of money
to these people, they have denied an RMA for a defective mainboard because of "damaged CPU socket pins" (ridiculous, there was no such damage unless they
somehow inflicted it. There was no mishandling of this item on my part, but of
course I cannot win this argument).
I am no longer that anxious to use this vendor again. Does anyone know of any reputable online hardware vendors? I have used Newegg exclusively for many
years but after this aggravation I definitely want to have a choice of who to buy
from in the future.
I have heard varying reviews of another vendor called "tiger direct", some good,
some bad. Has anyone done a lot of business with them and could give an idea
of how good their service is?

I use TigerDirect if Newegg doesn't have what I want in stock (ex. when I first built this system, Newegg didn't have the CPU I wanted in stock while TigerDirect did).

I hold no buying loyalty between vendors. I buy from the cheapest reputable seller - After selecting which product to purchase - I start my vendor search with a google shopping search for the item. resellerratings.com is an invaluable resource if you have not heard of the seller.

Lately, I have been favoring amazon because I am a prime member. Although I will buy from somewhere else if the price difference is more than a few dollars.

I should also point out that for a long time newegg was generally the cheapest source for computer parts, but that time is over.

I also recommend microcenter as well. They really improved their selection of hardware and accessories over the past few years.

tigerdirect and fry's are also good.

Yes, I live about 15 miles from the Mayfield Hts., OH Micro Center myself, so I'd definitely recommend that one. Haven't been to their store in a couple of years, tho. Wish they'd have a west side location, especially with $3.50 - $4.00/gal. gasoline, I don't think I want to travel that far out if I don't have to. If they ever offer free shipping on components, I would do mail service on them (with the sales tax built in, I'd much rather that take over for shipping costs, as opposed to be added to the sales tax...too much extra cost that way).
