Looking for a TC
First of all, it was the demo of an upcoming TC which, IIRC, was never actually released (the size of the file was about 40 MB). It ripped off textures and graphics from TekWar, including the policeman (if i remember well); you were able to talk with NPCs, the first level was a subway station like the one in TekWar, the second was in the sewers and in the third level you reached a city-like area whit alot of interactivity. If I remember well, there were also some RPG-like features, like in Suburbs (can't remember very well, but I'm pretty sure they were in). I don't know why, but whenever I try to think about its name, the words "gang wars" come to mind: I'm pretty sure, however, that its name was another one.
If anyone is able to give me the name, i'll be grateful forever. I've been looking for this thing for ages. |

Hmm, I seem to remember this as well. The name escapes me, however if you find out please drop me a line

Re: Looking for a TC
A question: Armageddon - Gang Wars = Shadows of Armageddon?
If not, might anyone post a link to download the SoA tc? I found a rapidshare one on the forum but doesn't work... Oh, and that Evil People tc sounds interesting as well. |

Re: Looking for a TC
yeah i'm pretty sure it's the same thing.. I was looking for The War Is The Life (looked like a real promising TC) which was pretty similiar to SOA but put together a hell of a lot better. a demo was never released unfortunately =/

This mod would be a lot more fun with some quick cleanup and polish.

Re: Looking for a TC
Ok, I updated my previous post with the mediafire link, with a new mediafire link because there were some problems with it. I also uploaded it to rapidshare. Hope it works now.

Re: Looking for a TC
Didn't want to start a new thread, so figured I'd continue this one (since you found what you were looking for and all, it's almost not a highjack).
Anyway, I'm not looking for a TC; I'm looking for a TC author. Particularly James Ferry, aka Veldrik. He's an Aussie, went to school in Sydney, and had a good alcohol tolerance if I remember correctly. He authored Weaponry TC, New World III TC, and was working on New World IV (a new build game) at one point. He was a fellow eDuke 2.0 tester/contributor as well. Much as I'd like to drag him back to Duke3D, I doubt it'd happen. Mostly want to say hi and catch up. He taught me quite a bit about con coding. |
