Dopefish Problem with Elevator transport, Touchplate and Activator
Hello everybody.

See this screenshot:


As you see it's an "elevator transport". The <0,1000> is speed, <1,1> is a touchplate and <0,1> is an activator. I want to create an elevator transport to start raising when Duke gets in the elevator sector but it doesn't work: it doesn't raises when Duke enters the sector and the use button doesn't works.

Any idea please?

iirc (im not atound my build refs right now) the activator should have a lotag of 1... but then again, im not sure if the idea would work at all that way, you just may have to use a floor door (secotr lotag of 21) and a vinalla teleporter to another floor door sector with an activator...

sorry if im useless in build effects witout my refs i could be wrong could anyone clarify?

Hi. I did miss this thread

I tested in different ways and didn't work. I found something similar in the map E2L3 but doesn't uses elevator transport .

Well, why does that touchplate have a hitag? Delete it and try again it may work.

This will never work! Hitag on SE 17# refers only to a sound and you can't link it with activator or anything else because it's pointless. Hitag on touchplate refers to the number of possible activations if you don't know (1 means one activation, no hitag infinite) but it's not point here anyway. You could do it as Dopefish said. Once you enter the elevator you can have a teleport to another elevator that looks exactly the same but can be activated, elevator up for example.
