Yeah, the map is quite large, though I did not use all available walls but only about 12 500. It takes about 25 minutes to finish.

I've never heard of any Project Zero games, The name was just my loose association with a theme of the map.

I'm loving those water sections - especially the lift going into and out of the water also the water lock room.

I want to wait until the next Eduke32 is released. But if it looks like that's going to be a long time, then DP may be released sooner.

Thanks! I didn't know you play user maps because you don't comment on it too often I think.

Maybe I will make another map in the future but now I'm at the stage of thinking of it and getting some cool ideas (any suggestions are welcome).

I haven't played very many of them, but I've been picking up an interest in both well-made user maps and TCs lately. It seems like I spend most of my time fixing bugs and adding features and that I've been missing a lot of good stuff.

I surpose this also can give you an idea of what can be done with your own work (Eduke32) and gives you more ideas of what to add later on.

Ok, I seem to be stuck... i cant find all one of the two fuses... I have the one from the fuse box behind the building beside the water fountain. But I have no idea where the other is, ive ended up finding all the secrects just trying to find it.

Normally, I don't play Usermaps untill end but your level has a very interesting look and a good gameplay.

Hey cool map!

Things I liked.
The start room, that was really cool, loved the idea.
The water elevator trick, really liked it.
Frozen rooms with slide, this was very cool!
Use of Box's I loved using them, felt like Unreal.

The only prob I had was against the minisboss in frozen room, I slid into the corner then couldn't move, I was stuck. But that's a DP prob and not your map.

Do you mean you had to run in the other direction for a few moments before you could move again, or do you mean you were completely stuck forever? (and if you were stuck, did you try jumping?)

Yes. I couldn't move at all in any direction, I ended up using DNCLIP.

This must be some random bug because the toxic waste is not set to slippery, unless by chance somehow but I doubt. And there is nothing in there which could block you.

Maybe the boss followed him into the slippery room? At any rate, I can't replicate it and it hasn't happened to anyone else.

Ok, I was skimming through AMC (I still can't register there, damn you James!) and suddenly I noticed a thread about my map. Comments were rather positive. Some people complained about design suggesting that it was too simple (1998-ish). If you say something like this I would be glad if you posted a screen and suggested improvements. The maps looks like this because I wanted it to look like this and I was sure the amount of detail was optimal, wasn't it?. Where there any raw and ugly areas? Maybe some areas look strange, but it's only if you play without HRP which I prefer and it's recommended for this map.


I found also a review by Mikko Sandt who awarded the map with a note 98/100 (thank you). Some people say it's overrated. But I believe that rating of maps is always a personal matter. Some people like different maps and different styles (For example I was rather not impressed by the Red series although they are good maps). Every map even by the same author has different gameplay and design and it doesn't have to always match all tastes, everyone looks at different things. Some people will say a map is worth 100/100 and the other will say it's a crap.

As it is my map I can't be really objective but I'm very satisfied with it. If more people play it it gives more satisfaction. I have just started another map but it's just the beggining. We'll see how it will turn out.

I can clearly say that hallways were a bit empty... Also the floors which multifloor elevator used as destination can have some detail as well as the sector that has the multifloor elevator (It's just a rectangle...)

1: You don't know the mechanics of the multifloor elevator. It's better not to put too much in there to avoid unplesant visual glitches. Also It consists only of 1 sector.

2: Empty hallways? For me they were "furnitured enough". I believe that noone grows plants in the underground.

3: If I were to rate your maps using the same criteria honestly I would have to give them 0 points Emptiness, simplicity, emptiness.
